Tundra entered the command room at his station on Earth, where four high commanding officers were awaiting his presence. They were lined up along the wall shoulder to shoulder on one side of the room. They knelt down in respect as he entered. He walked past them and sat down on the throne at the back of the room. These officers acted as an extension of his desires, all in charge of their own platoons. If the Leader of the PTO himself wasn’t there, they would be who you’d listen to.
“Rise.”
They all stood up, waiting for each of them to be called on one by one. They were here for their weekly mission assignments. They all have been preparing to go around Earth, searching for anything that could benefit the Planetary Trade Organization. Their names were Jakku, Sapo, Kaki, and Logana.
“Alright, let’s get started. Jakku, step up.”
Jakku was on the end of the line farthest from Tundra. He was an eight feet tall stack of muscle with horns and blue and scaly skin. He walked forward into the center of the room before turning to face his ruler, standing at attention.
“I need you to take your team and learn more about the USD’s location. I want locations of outposts, HQs, patrol routes, the works. Understand?”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Dismissed.”
Jakku hurriedly exited the building. With the remaining three awaiting their instructions.
“Sapo.”
Sapo was short with purple skin, sharp teeth, and a shark fin on top of his head. He walked up and stood front and center, awaiting orders.
“You’re in charge of finding out political relations. I need the names of leaders, parties, belief systems, and anything else you can find.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Dismissed.”
After Sapo left, he called on Kaki next. She was six feet cyclops with a muscular build and had orange skin.
“I need you to create a list of particular places of interest. Locations of large corporations, memorials, statues, banks, etc. I want to know what the Earthlings hold near and dear to their hearts.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Dismissed.”
With only one person left in the room, Tundra motioned for Logana to step forward. She had long, brown hair and green skin. She was on the shorter side, around 5’ 2”.
“I need you to find different trade routes and shipment locations for each city’s food and other supplies. When the time comes, I want to be able to lock down their resources on a whim. Keep in mind that this planet is still a part of an alliance, so you may have to find information on interplanetary trade as well.”
“Understood, my lord.”
“Dismissed.”
Once Logana left, he looked upward at the ceiling in front of him. A large television screen hung down from it. He used this screen to get in touch with the other Generals that were spread across other worlds to manage them while he was on Earth. He went to contact each General one by one.
The first one was on Planet Namek. The face of a Changeling popped up. His name was General Frigid.
“Yes, Lord Tundra?”
“How’s everything going on Namek?”
“There isn’t much worthy of note, my lord. Most of the warrior class has already been integrated into our forces and have been deployed on various planets for conquest. Those with healing abilities have made our invasion forces increasingly more formidable. The children are being pushed to their limits in training so that they’re ready to take on the weaker planets with our lower class soldiers. The elderly or those that simply just lack fighting capabilities are working on maintaining the PTO installations we’ve established on Namek.
I have to hand it to you, my lord. I was skeptical at first, but there’s been surprisingly little resistance after we increased the quality of their homes and established more advanced technologies on the planet. It seems that the positives outweigh the negatives in their eyes.”
“Perfect. And the Dragon Balls?”
“The natives still haven’t given up their location. I know what you said about not using physical violence to get it out of them, but-”
“No. If we start doing that, eventually some of them might start to get bold. What we’ve got right now is a good start. The foundation has been practically solidified at this point, and I’d rather not jeopardize it.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Patience, Frigid.”
“Right.”
“Keep up the good work.”
He switched his communications link to General Hail on Planet Frost.
“Hail.”
“Lord Tundra.”
“Report.”
“All is well and good, as usual. The uses of other races in our armies have freed up a lot of time for us to focus on the advancement of our technologies. We have increased the power of the engines on our ships, as well as discovered new materials on other planets that could be beneficial to us. I’ve sent the data electronically to your command center on Earth so that you can review the list I’ve come up with. It just needs your stamp of approval.”
“I’ll review it and get back to you. Thank you, Hail.”
“It’s my pleasure.”
“One more thing.”
“Yes, my lord?”
“I haven’t been able to spare any forces on Earth, do you mind scouting Planet Vegeta? As one of the major planets of the USD, I’d like to see how we could go about taking it over. To do that, however, I need to see what we’re dealing with.”
“Sure, I’ll see what I can do.”
“Right, keep me posted.”
“Will do.”
The transmission ended, and Tundra was left to assess his other options. With everything now set in motion, the only thing left to do was to make sure he was ready for combat when the time was right. He was still not able to completely handle the power of his true form, and the sooner he got a handle on that the better. These suppression forms were a good way of containing his power, but were only holding him back. They were a short term solution to a long term problem. So far, he could feel himself getting better, but he had to find a faster way to progress. Heavier weights? A more horrid environment? He needed to really push himself. What was the point of having so much power if you couldn’t use it?
He got up from his throne, stretching a little. This was no time to sit around. He walked out of the command room towards the exit. He had a lot of work to do.
